How it works
Your pattern and flags are compiled into a real JavaScript RegExp, the same engine your code will run in, so behavior here matches production. As you type, every match is highlighted in the sample text and listed below with any capture groups. If the pattern is invalid, the status line shows the engine's own error message instead of failing silently.
